People are wondering whether cultural monogamy is the best option. Like many adopted social norms, this generation of free thinkers and free lovers have deemed monogamy as an antiquated expression of love and partnership. Centuries ago, man and woman were coupled to maintain civilization, and for the egoist, to keep the family name alive. This is no longer a concern. Quite the contrary. A growing number of lovers are exploring their ability to give and receive love with more than one person. Communication has always been the cornerstone for healthy relationships but in a poly relationship it is crucial. It is not ethical practice to identify as poly as a means to merely sleep with other people. Each branch of a poly relationship is intertwined and available for review. Poly lifestyle is not centered around sex, there is a large drive for companionship, emotional connection, sharing of ideas and challenging limiting tenets. Regardless of how many relationships you choose to engage in, be safe, love one another, and don’t forget playing is not just for kids.
